Reconnecting with creativity
After nearly over 10 years of creative slump, it was time to reconnect with what once gave excitement, focus, drive and curiosity. Not only that but take someone with me.
Still having a fascination for technology and the continuous fast developments in wearable tech, and while often feeling overwhelmed and left behind, I snap back to it like a magnet.
With a shy love for performative arts, and a lust for the consumption of rich visuals, I wanted to engage in a creative journey that would both indulge senses and challenge my technical abilities, which at this point in my life and career would be very easily achieved.
I proposed a collaborative challenge to a friend, who accepted the journey.
Theatrical
The idea of a theatrical piece was appealing in the sense that the piece needs to indulge most senses unapologetically, boldly.
Interactive
Because it is the notion of communication and connection. It can hold poignant concepts and be a powerful universal language. Agency and influence.
Real time electronics have always been a particular interest of mine with early works in sound and generative synthesis. Now a distant past which feels like I have slept and woke up to a world alien to me, I relish the challenge of researching, learning, trying, making, testing, failing and rising.
Performance
It is what I have done for years, as a child, as a young musician many years go and as an adult at work, always in movement and in thought.
