Composition for solo flute and live electronics.
Choices is a piece for flute and real-time electronics written by composer, sound artist and programmer Fabrice Mogini
The performance was a collaboration where the live electronics elements were triggered by the performer – mariepix – playing her instrument, modified with pressure sensors.
The live electronics were generated by a programme, Fabrice wrote in SuperCollider.
The computer sequences are written in the 12,14,15,16,17,18 or 19 equal note temperaments, each temperament only played when it can be in tune with the current musical phrase, played by the flute in the 12 equal note temperament.
